A Garden Tea Bridal Shower
I’ve been chatting about my friend’s bridal shower and the day finally came on Sunday. Here it is as wordless as possible….
The menu: a selection of vegetables (the veggie dip bowls were red peppers!), fruit salad, tea sandwiches (cucumber with chive cream cheese, classic chicken salad, ham and cheese and good old peanut butter and jelly), pasta salad and garden cupcakes. All complimented by sweet and unsweetened tea, lemonade, strawberry lemonade sangria and wine.

Each place setting had a BRIDE Bingo card, trivia questions about the couple and a unique, handmade tea cup candle (should I post instructions on how to make these?). The centerpieces were tiny teapots with flowers.

Of course there were party hats (tea party hats) for people who forgot to wear a hat. And the game prizes included a selection of flower pots and tea pots planted with herbs and flowers and gift sets complete with tea cup, tea and tea cookies.
No tea party is complete without a bride-to-be guest of honor and her hostessing attendants.
And here’s me with the soon-to-be other Mrs. K!
Now here I must confess… I originally refashioned a dress for this tea party (remember?) and you can tell I’m wearing a different dress *gasp*
I got a fantastic deal on this dress from Muse Apparel. I won a gift card through a contest, coupled with a discount code, I got this lovely green cowl-neck dress for only 20% of the original cost! I styled it with my handmade pearl necklace, a black skinny belt (instead of the original) and Target wedges. Of course you can’t help but notice the hats! Natalie and I both embellished our own sun hats, hers has ribbon that matches her dress exactly.
I’m linking up my great dress deal (and my $3 hat) for Look What I Got.
What a fun theme for the bridal shower! That teal dress looks amazing on you and you got such a deal on it. Thanks for linking up 🙂
