Chocolatey Treats From LEVEL (and a giveaway!)

Before I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes my favorite chocolate treat was peanut butter cups. One 2-pack of them contains about 24 grams of carbs, 21 of which were sugar. Those number are tough to justify except for on really special occasions.

I was really excited to hear that LEVEL had introduced peanut butter cups and turtle bars, which made me very happy when LEVEL offered me a box of peanut butter cups and turtle bars to try out (and to give away).

I managed to not take any pictures of the turtle bars because I put them in my purse for an on-the-go snack. At 19 grams of carbs per bar, they are a peanuty-chocolatey-caramely, guilt-free candy bar.

My favorite was the peanut butter cups. They’re a darker chocolate than the traditional peanut butter cup and the peanut butter has a stronger flavor. Here are pictures of the peanut butter cups:

I may not be extremely articulate in my review, but you can win your own a premier bundle pack of LEVEL’s new sweet snacks valued at $50 and let me know what you think!

You can check out my review of LEVEL glucose gels here and LEVEL protein shakes and bars here.

Disclosure: I received these products free from LEVEL Foods for testing and review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Have you tried LEVEL’s new treats? What did you think?

If not, what’s your favorite treat?

I do love peanut butter cups. With the holidays coming up, I’ll definitely be making some date nut rum balls and peanut butter buckeyes! Yum!

I love a good buckeye! Homemade is so much better than store bought for buckeyes too.

For me the chocolate doesn’t even have to be in chip form!

I’ve never tried these but so many people rant and rave. I may need to pick a box up. They look delicious.

Obviously I like them! If you use the Target Cartwheel app, they often have deals on LEVEL (or maybe you’ll win some)

Have you started making “Christmas cookies” or is it still too early?

I saw someone already mention Peanut Butter buckeyes. My goodness those are a weakness. A lady at works makes the best ones! However, one of my favourite go to treats of Jelly Babies. A dear friend of mine sent them to me from the UK. They are so good!

I thought buckeyes were really an Ohio thing, but I’m happy to hear that I’m wrong. I’ve never had Jelly Babies.

I save fudge for Christmas time as well! I have some fond memories growing up of my grandmother’s peanut butter fudge.

I am a true chocoholic, but, my go to snack would be cheese and crackers.
