Thanksgiving Thoughts from My Husband
Last week, I was felled by a migraine. It started as just a headache while I was at the office but got progressively worse, by the time I got home, the nausea, light/sound/smell sensitivity had hit and I knew I was done for. I took a single Advil, put on sweatpants and laid down on the couch. I had let Brad know that my headache was now migraine. When he got home from work he came in quietly and kept the light off. Then he snuggled up on the couch with me and just held me.
Brad does a lot for me. He saved my life probably more than once. As I laid there waiting for the migraine to subside, I was thankful to have found and married such as wonderful man.
I’ve been trying to get him to write a blog post for me occasionally, but he continues to decline. Then I found Samantha’s Blogger Men Tell All link up where she provides themed prompt questions and blogger husbands, fiances, boyfriends or male friends/relatives answer the questions. I sent this week’s set to Brad and he answered them below, my commentary will appear in [brackets]
1. What food do you look forward to the most at Thanksgiving dinner?
The turkey and cranberry (canned!!). [He’s the only person I know who specifically requests canned cranberries!]
2. Do you ever go shopping on Black Friday?
Yes – back before anyone had a GPS and they were still $400 with tiny screens and iPod Classics were still the newest thing I went and waited outside of a Circuit City at 3am for a cheap GPS and 22″ widescreen monitor. [But we don’t go out shopping on Thanksgiving day!]
3. What’s your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
Spending time with the family after dinner going through every Black Friday ad.
4. Do you travel for the Thanksgiving holiday or stay close to home?
Close to home. [This is subjective, typically we drive an hour out but this year Thanksgiving #2 is 3.5 hours away.]
5. What are you most thankful for this year?
Our house and good jobs.
How would you answer these questions?

I like canned cranberry jelly too. 🙂 I grew up on it. Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m always asking my mom or brother to “write” a blog post 😉 One day, haha!
My brother actually always requested canned cranberries too! Me..I can do without any!
I enjoy canned cranberry sauce too, with berries 🙂
Canned cranberry jelly, not the kind with actual berries. It’s the best, and great smeared on leftover turkey sandwiches!!!
My brother loves canned cranberry too. My fiance loves to check out the ads too 😉
I love that he is actually into black friday shopping!! My husband went once and said never again!
